NEPHROLOGY -

  • assisted in central line - suturing under guidance of Dr.sai charan
  • Monitoring the patients during dialysis


ICU/AMC duty:

  • assisted in intubation 
  • Performed CPR for a 22 year old female
  • Have taken samples for ABG of several patients.
  • Performed insertion of foley's catheter
  • learned a ryles tube insertion under the guidance of Dr. Keerthy
  •  have taken venous samples of several patients
  • Learned how to maintain GRBS in a hypoglycaemic patient using 25-D overnight 

WARD-

  • Updated soap notes
  • Follow up on patients shifted to ward
  • Helped our long distance patients by taking them to referrals
  • monitored patients in the ward 
  • Taking blood samples for the routine investigations
  • Learned to inserted a cannula


PSYCHIATRY: (12-11-2022 to 26-11-2022)

Cases seen

1)Alcohol induced psychosis a 60 year old female whose attenders informed us that she kept insisting that her brother who lives a few houses away was fighting with his family members and they were trying to hurt him. She immediately goes and checks and sees for herself that everything is normal but she keeps having these thoughts and dreams. She consumes alcohol every day and is being doing so for the last ~ 20 years)

2)Anxiety ( a 25 year old female c/o being anxious throughout the day since few weeks, she is introverted by nature which resulted in her not having many friends and she mostly stayed home helping her mother do the housework as her mother was sick and unable to do so, she is anxious about going to interviews, and completely a few college courses) 

3)panic episode( a 26 year old female after having an altercation with her husband)

4)Schizophrenia ( a 42 year old male who is a IT graduate c/o hearing various sounds regularly - the sounds were incoherent and didn't make any sense, he also saw people standing at a distance calling out to him)

5)Delusional jealousy ( a 48 year old man came with his spouse, he is a known case and has been receiving treatment for anger issues and delusion. He still has trouble letting his wife go out alone for chores and becomes verbally and physically abusive when she does so due to which she stopped going out alone.)

6)persistant delusional disorder
